About
Rainy Day Words came about due to procrastination.
You know what it’s like. When you’re stuck on your novel, anything new and shiny is so much more interesting. When the Rainy Day Words founder, Clare Stark, was stuck on her latest novel, she decided to research what caused creative people to get stuck – and more importantly how to overcome it.
From that research, Rainy Day Words was born.
OUR MISSION
To help you uncover why you’re stuck and rediscover your writing flow.
To help you find time in your busy day to write.
To help you get from wherever you are to the end of your novel.

Your new writing bestie
Clare Stark is a writer of millions of words. She’s written dozens of short stories and novels, three novels, and more.
She knows the struggle. With working full time and running a jewellery business on the side, finishing a novel as well seemed impossible. Add to that all those run-ins with writers block and perfectionism and she was beginning to despair.
So she tried another tactic: finding out what was causing her to get stuck. She read books, articles, guides, you name it. Everything she could find on why people get stuck partway through a project – and how to get unstuck.
Rainy Day Words is what came out of that research.
